Privacy policy
How Zinn® Ads collects, uses and protects your data, including the data it receives from Google and other ad networks.
This policy covers the Zinn® Ads website and the Zinn® Ads service. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
Zinn Digital® Ltd is the data controller for the website and for your account. Write to us at any time:

Who we are
Zinn® Ads is an advertising management service made by Zinn Digital® Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
This policy adds to the Zinn Digital® privacy policy, which covers our other services. Where the two differ for Zinn® Ads, this policy applies.
This website
This website has no accounts and no forms. Our hosting provider keeps short technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to keep the site secure.
With your consent, analytics cookies measure how the site is used. You can change your choice at any time with "Privacy choices" at the bottom of every page.
Your account
When you use Zinn® Ads, we keep your name, e-mail address, company, billing details and your settings, such as your spending ceilings and which changes may run on autopilot. We use them to provide the service, bill you and contact you about your account.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, you choose to give Zinn® Ads access to your Google Ads accounts. We receive your Google account's name and e-mail address, and, through the Google Ads API, your account structure (campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads and assets), the search terms, performance figures, conversion actions and settings of the accounts you connect.
We use this data only to provide and improve the features you see in Zinn® Ads: audits, suggestions, the changes you approve or allow on autopilot, undo, alerts and reports. We make changes to your Google Ads accounts only as you have approved or allowed.
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs by Zinn® Ads to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to create, train or improve any generalised AI or machine-learning model. People at Zinn Digital® do not read it, except with your permission, for security, to meet the law, or when it is aggregated and anonymised for running the service.
We do not share your Google user data with anyone, except the service providers who host and run Zinn® Ads for us under contract, or where the law requires it.
You can disconnect a Google account in Zinn® Ads at any time: this revokes our access and deletes the data we hold for that account. You can also remove our access from your Google account's security settings.
Other ad networks
When you connect an account on another ad network, such as Microsoft Advertising, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Pinterest or Amazon Ads, we receive the same kinds of data from that network and use it in the same way, only to run Zinn® Ads for you and as that network's terms allow.
Disconnecting the account revokes our access and deletes the data we hold for it.
The click-fraud shield
The click shield looks at clicks on your ads when they reach your website: the visitor's IP address, browser details, the ad's click ID, the time, the page and the referring page, and signs of automated behaviour.
We process this data to prevent advertising fraud, which is a legitimate interest of our customers and of us (UK GDPR and EU GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). For the visitors to your website, you are the controller and we process the data for you; we give you text to add to your own privacy notice.
Click data is kept only for the claim window the ad network allows for an invalid-click refund, and then deleted. We keep no fingerprint data after that window.
To protect every customer, a source caught committing fraud may be shared across customers as an anonymous signal (a one-way code and a reason). It never includes which customer saw it, and it cannot be turned back into an address.
AI features
When Zinn® Ads writes or translates an ad, it sends the text it needs (such as product details from your website) to an AI provider. If you use your own key, the request goes to the provider you chose, under your agreement with them.
When you ask a question about your ads, the account figures needed to answer it are sent to the AI provider only to produce that answer. Your Google user data is never used to train AI models.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data while you have an account, and for as long as the law requires afterwards for billing and tax records. Change history is kept for at least the 30 days in which a change can be undone.
Data from a disconnected ad account is deleted when you disconnect it. Click-shield data is kept only as described above.
Security
Access tokens for your ad accounts are encrypted and kept in a secrets vault, never in our code or logs. All data travels encrypted. Every change Zinn® Ads makes and every staff action is logged.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to move it to you. Write to us at the address above and we will reply within the time the law allows.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or to the data protection authority where you live.
